Prosperity Through FaithSpeaker: Dr. Paul Dhinakaran Gist: When we believe in the Lord and sow or strive hard for something, He will graciously grant us His blessings, devoid of sorrow. He will return all that you have lost in your life. The Bible says that the Lord distributes to everyone a measure of faith so that we may be able to live a faithful life. When we strive with that faith, He will make our life fruitful. If you read Genesis 26:12,13 you will find that the Lord took Isaac to a land. According to the Lord's wish, he sojourned there. He declared, "The Lord has brought me here. So, let me sow my seed here and the Lord will bless it." He sowed with faith. The Lord blessed him just as he believed; he reaped a hundredfold that year.
The Bible says, "The blessing of the Lord makes one rich, and He adds no sorrow with it." (Proverbs 10:22)

Many years ago, an illiterate man having no knowledge about the Lord earned his living by working in a cardamum farm. Suddenly, in a particular year, there was drought and the harvest was poor. One day, he sat in the farm with sorrow, because of the loss. As he was tuning his radio set, the 'Jesus Calls' radio programme was on air at 5:30 p.m. and the 'Jesus Calls' theme song rang in his ears.
"Jesus Calls us all! Jesus Calls us all!
Fondly He beckons, all eager to hold us,
Jesus Calls us all,
Wiping our bitterest tears,
Guarding us safe in His arms,
Bearing us through the most painful losses,
He surely restores us to safety and joy."
When he heard this song, he was surpised. "Is there someone who can wipe away my sorrows, tears, problems and the darkness that has surrounded me?" he thought. He listened to the whole programme. That day, my father addressed those who had met heavy loss in their businesses. The programme appeared to him as if it was meant for him. During the time of prayer, filled with the Holy Spirit, my father said, "The Lord will raise you up again; He will wipe away your tears." This gave him immense encouragement. He was filled with hope. Again that year, he sowed with faith. Usually, the cardamum plant bears fruits at the nodal regions. But that year, the fruits were seen even in the stems. He was surprised. The harvest that year was a hundredfold. The Lord repaid him a hundredfold whatever he had lost before. Filled with gratitude, he came to meet us in Chennai with a garland of cardamum. He met my father, garlanded him and shed tears of joy, He said, "Brother, if you had not spoken about the love of Jesus on that day, I would not be alive today." The Lord greatly loved him and brought prosperity in his life.
Dear friend, if you lead your life with faith in the love of God, the Lord will bless you and honour your faith with hundredfold returns. He will return all that you have lost in your life.
Every day, the Lord gives us His word and makes us prosper through it. We read in the Bible that when the ark of the Lord remained in the house of Obed-Edom, the Lord blessed Obed-Edom and all his household (2 Samuel 6:11,12).
The same way when the word of God comes into our homes and into our personal lives, it brings us prosperity.
Prayer:
Loving Heavenly Father,
You know the losses in my life. But in all my failures and losses, I trust You. Father, You are the Provider of my soul. You will never allow my soul to lack any good thing. Father, give me Your word every morning when I pray to You. Speak to my heart and lead me by Your counsel. Prosper my life according to Your word. I pray this prayer in Jesus' name.
