No More Condemned!Speaker: Dr. Paul Dhinakaran Gist: Are you condemning yourself as a sinner today? Have you stopped praying, thinking that God will never hear your prayer? You have hope. The God of love, Jesus Christ, is alive to intercede for you. Jesus is alive to intercede for us. Read Romans 8:34, Hebrews 7:25, and Mark 16:19. Jesus, in human form is seated at the right hand of God, the Father, in heaven to make intercession for us.
A missionary lady was living in a foreign land. She was the tutor for the children of the royal family. It so happened that the members of that nation's council were constantly issuing petitions to destroy the only Church that existed there. At those times, the missionary lady would run to the King saying, "His Royal Highness! Be merciful unto us. Please let not the church be destroyed." The King would immediately do the needful. In this way, the church was protected every time.
James 3:2 says, "We all stumble in many things." As various weaknesses and temptations strike upon us, we fail in spirit, and fall. As a result of this, we deserve punishment. It is at that time that Jesus pleads for us to the Almighty God from His right hand, as said in Hebrews 2:9, "Lord, be gracious to My child. It is true that he/she sinned against you. But I have shed my blood and have poured it at Your feet. Kindly remember that and please, do not punish My child, this once."
The Bible says, "Sin shall not have dominion over you, for you are not under law but under grace" (Romans 6:14).
His grace keeps us safe from the influence of sin. On one side, the penalty of sin is sure. On the other, the Lord keeps pleading for us through His precious blood. That is why, at those times, God's grace descends upon us. We are continuously saved.
My dear friend, are you condemning yourself as a sinner today? Have you stopped praying, thinking that God will never hear your prayers? Do not worry. The God of love, Jesus Christ, is alive to intercede for you. Look at Him with courage. Cry out to Him, "Lord, I have fallen. Grant me Your grace. Make me Your child." His love will fill your soul. You will become one with God again.
Prayer:
Loving Lord Jesus,
I thank You for interceding for me in Heaven whenever I fall into sin. I praise You for the salvation that I have in You. Thank You for Your unchanging grace that sustains me from being consumed by the wrath of God. Lord, cover me by Your blood and keep me under Your grace always. Help me not to sin. Fill me by Your Spirit and lead me in Your ways. All glory, honour and praise be unto Your name in heaven and earth.
Amen. |
