The Lord Has Chosen You

Speaker: Sis. Stella Dhinakaran

Gist: Commit yourself and your life into God's hands. The Lord who has chosen you according to His promise will grant you a brand new life. He is waiting to give you joy, peace and happiness.

"You did not choose Me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit, and that your fruit should remain, that whatever you ask the Father in My name He may give you." (John 15:16)

All that the Lord desires is one thing: He longs to come and dwell in our hearts. When He created our first parents, Adam and Eve, He came seeking them in the cool of the evening to walk with them. There is another thing that He desires.

"As He who called you is holy, you also be holy in all your conduct, because it is written, "Be holy, for I am holy." (1 Peters 1:15,16)

It was there that our first parents failed. They disobeyed God's command that they should not eat the fruit of a particular tree. Desire and disobedience together caused a big gulf between God and man.

"But your iniquities have separated you from your God; And your sins have hidden His face from you, So that He will not hear" (Isaiah 59:2).

Our sins and iniquities cause a huge gulf, preventing the Lord from coming to reside in us and with us. Perhaps you may ask whether there is any means to change this situation. Indeed there is a way and it is for that reason, Christ offered Himself as a sacrifice on the cross.

"In this the love of God was manifested toward us, that God has sent His only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through Him." (1 John 4:9)

God sent His only Son to this world to be sacrificed on the cross, as an atonement for our sin and iniquities. So, all that you have to do is to say a short prayer, "Lord, I confess all my faults. I will not hide them from You, because my heart is like an open book in your sight. Cleanse all my sins and iniquities with the blood which you shed on the cross. Make me a new creature. Come and dwell in me and in my home. Your presence alone is my comfort. You are my only hope. Forgive all my sins. I promise to live a life that is pleasing to You. Lord, it is Your responsibility to make me triumphant over all temptaions and evils that I face. I praise You for doing so. I thank You for having offered Yourself as a living sacrifice for my sins and iniquities. I shall live happily hereafter in You."

My dear friend, commit yourself and your life into His hands. The Lord who has chosen you according to His promise will banish all that is old and grant you a brand new life. In this world there is no greater joy anywhere than the presence of Jesus with us. Read the Bible carefully. The Lord blessed and guided devout men like Abraham, Isaac, Jacob and many others who feared Him and lived in His presence. When we have a God like Him, we should face the future with confidence and courage. The joy and peace that He offers us is unique. It is a priceless gift. He is waiting to give you this priceless gift. There will be no rooms for fear, worries and anxieties. The Lord who has chosen you will cast them out.

Prayer:

Loving Heavenly Father,

I confess all my faults. I will not hide anyone of them to You, because my heart is like an open book in your sight. Cleanse all my sins and iniquities with the blood which you shed on the cross. Make me a new creature. You should come and dwell in me. Your presence alone is my comfort. Your are my only hope. You alone can change everything for me to have a blessed future. Forgive all my former sins. I promise to live a life that is pleasing to You. In Jesus' mighty name, I pray

Amen.
